Vintage Ninja Gaiden II Poster
| Mar. 08, 2008
I was looking for some wall-fillers the other day and ran across this gem. It’s a fold-out poster from an old Nintendo Power magazine.
Sure, we all know what those orbs are for but I love how they are represented in this poster. The entire Ninja Gaiden franchise had such a deep and epic storyline and yet, here we see Ryu cutting up oranges with the Dark Sword of Chaos.
You also can’t help but notice that Ryu’s bicep looks like a very nasty tumor.
Grand Theft Auto IV, It’ll get you drunk
| Feb. 10, 2008Shamelessly posting this because, well, we here at HammeredBros.com are fans of the drink ourselves.
Slam with the Best or Jam like the Rest
| Jan. 28, 2008
Every once in a while something retarded awesome stumbles from the depths of the interwebs. Something like Barkley: Shut Up and Jam: Gaiden.
If you’ve ever wished there were more internet-bashing 8-bit Japanese RPG games based on 1990’s basketball players and the movie Space Jam, this is your thing. It’s a pretty cool thing.
This Game Tastes Like Crap

The plot wasn’t written on drugs and the dialog seems sincere enough but what you’re really treated to is exploding heads and detailed animations of outrageous mutilation. We have compiled a video to show you what we mean.

Space Ninja + Accountant = Strider
| Apr. 26, 2007
Strider was released by Capcom in 1989 and was a relatively big hit in the arcades before being perfectly ported to the Genesis a year later. Both the Arcade and Genesis versions are considered by many to be classics. Like most games back then, the Japanese art for the game was much different than what was released in the US.

8-Bit Operators: The Music of Kraftwerk + The Worst Song of All Time
| Apr. 23, 2007
This track could have easily been my favorite but it turns out to be the worst and I’m genuinely confused at its existence. What’s awesome is the heavy noise and the fast-paced beat. If you like Drum n’ Bass or just harder electronic, you’ll dig this track. What’s awful is everything else and there’s a lot of it - the MC, fake crowd roar, inane rap lyrics, and the host. I want to see the host mauled by a family of tigers.
