Diablo III Announced

Blizzard has announced Diablo III at the 2008 Blizzard Entertainment Worldwide Invitational and launched the official website for the game that includes lots of media, including a fairly beefy gameplay video that shows the game already in a playable build that already looks great.

Live Action Akira Movie Confirmed for 2009

Tray and I are big fans of the 1988 the anime movie, Akira, and we are not fans of anime to say the least. From what we know so far, it looks like this will disappoint. Here are excerpts from www.firstshowing.net on the matter:
The two films will be directed by Irish filmmaker Ruairi Robinson who is making his feature debut after directing a number of short films and commercials…
The script for the two films is being written by first-time screenwriter Gary Whitta.
It’s coming 2009 so they’re obviously rushing it with inexperienced people at the front lines. See where this is heading? Here’s another piece of poop to be dropped — reports say that this version will be taking place in “New Manhattan.” They might as well take out the bike chases too.
We will be keeping an eye out for any new developments.
Gears of War 2 Chainsaw Duel Teaser

Who knows, maybe the sequel to 2006’s blockbuster release will actually have a story also! Failing that, throwing in more chainsaw action will probably suffice.
HALOL 3: Thank God The Fight is Finished

The last article of 2007 is no other then the not-so-good review on Halo 3. Really? It’s no surprise that the brothers break down one of 2007’s big blockbuster games into just an average game, giving it a barely above average rating. Inside are discussions about Microsoft’s most treasured franchise and how it spends so much to burn it into our minds that Halo is the greatest game ever.
