Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Closer to Completion
| Apr. 21, 2008
While it is certainly up for debate, there are many out there who feel that Super Street Fighter II Turbo represents the pinnacle of the storied fighting game franchise’s many iterations. I have feeling that most of those people, like me, are getting old.
The long-awaited high definition treatment of the game by is almost finished. The game will be available on Xbox Live and the Playstation Network. All of the art has been redrawn by Udon Entertainment, who just so happen to be the company responsible for producing the US Street Fighter comics.
If you want to get your hands on the action a little early you can get into a limited beta by purchasing the game Commando 3. That beta demo will allow you to play as either Ken or Ryu only while Capcom stress tests the game’s network performance. I have no idea what Commando 3 is, but I’m sure a lot of us will find out sometime this Spring when Capcom starts the beta.Keep an eye on the Capcom Blog for more details.
Time to start dusting off my T-hawk chops.
New Street Fighter Movie is Going to Suck More Than All The Other Sucky Movies That I’ve Been Posting
| Mar. 19, 2008
The movie has been confirmed and so has the cast. Here is the cast taken from videogamer.com.
The story will revolve around Chun-Li, who will be portrayed by Smallville actress Kristen Kreuk. Also staring in leading roles are Michael Clark Duncan as Balrog, Neal McDonough as M. Bison, Taboo of Black Eyed Peas as Vega and Chris Klein as Charlie Nash.
With a cast like this, I’m sure they’re going to get some douche rag director to direct this thing into a wall. Kristen Kreuk will work well to play as Chun Li but at this rate, I’m only hoping that it be as cheesy and as wrong as possible, along with the likes of Akira.
On a shit note, it seems like they’ve also found someone to fill the spot of Bison. Now if we only had a Guile cameo by Van Damme, then this movie would be perfect.
New Street Fighter IV Footage
| Jan. 05, 200810 years since Street Fighter III was first released, Capcom has released some new media on the still in progress Street Fighter IV that they announced back in November. The folks over at 1up.com have put together a great preview of the new gameplay mechanics and I’m excited to see how everything turns out.
Enough flim-flam… Here’s some gameplay footage!
Blanka The Magician (Is He Green or Yellow?)
| Nov. 02, 2007
My brother recently dressed up as a horrible Blanka for Halloween and painted himself green so my buddy Vic’s response to that was, “So he’s Blanka from the later versions?” I looked at him blankly, “Um no, just the very standard Blanka.” Puzzled, Vic said that my brother should have painted himself yellow and thus begins the war.

The Science of Cheap, Part 2: Tray’s Counter Attack on E. Honda
| May. 09, 2007
Since Corbin wrote his last article detailing how he can kick my ass in Street Fighter 2: Hyper Fighting with E. Honda, I’ve decided to go into a little more detail about why I think E. Honda is a snow jobbing dick-head in this game. Keep in mind that I’m not the ninja at SF2 that I was back in the day, but I can still remember the intermediate level stuff like doing basic combos, crossing up, etc. That being said, screw E. Honda.

The Science of Cheap, Part 1: Corbin’s Overnight Triumph With E. Honda
| Apr. 05, 2007
We fired up Street Fighter: Turbo on Capcom Classics for the PS2 and after 4 shots of Jack and 12 beers, I decided to pick E. Honda. I don’t remember exactly how it happened but my 11-year losing streak took a major turn. » read more
